The Water Quality Data Access System is a web application that uses ActiveServer Pages to display Water Quality Data from a database to the Web.
Data in this web application was obtained from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's STORET database. Only Michigan data was downloaded, and of the hundreds of variables available, only a limited number have been summarized.

The STORET database is EPA's oldest and largest computerized environmental data system and is a repository for water quality and biological monitoring data. The data derived from STORET for this application originally was collected between 1970 and 1996 at sampling sites throughout the state.
